I am writing to announce that I am offering my services as a mediator for employment cases. My decision is based on my strong belief in the mediation process and the numerous conversations with other plaintiff and defense attorneys about the need for employment mediators in the Atlanta area. I have often been told that I would be a good mediator based upon my temperament, knowledge, and unique background of having represented both employers and employees. Now, entering my twentyninth (29 th) year of practice, I have decided to actively establish an employment mediation practice.
I have practiced employment law in metro-Atlanta for over 29 years, representing both employers and employees. From 1989 to 1996, I served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State Attorney General’s Office defending state agencies and officials in employment litigation. In 1996, I entered private practice and continued to represent state agencies and officials in employment litigation as a Special Assistant Attorney General. I have also represented Fulton County in employment litigation and established a plaintiff’s employment litigation practice.
In 2003, my practice transitioned into representing employers and employees equally. Over the last twelve (12) years, I have primarily represented employees, while continuing to represent small businesses in employment matters and corporate litigation. My practice has included representing both employees and employers in wage collective actions and individual cases.
I received mediation training from both Resolution Resources and Henning Mediation & Arbitration Service. I have also served as an Investigator for discrimination claims filed with the City of Atlanta’s Human Relations Commission. From 2007 until 2017, I served as a Hearing Officer for the Georgia Department of Education for teacher and student appeals. Since 2011, I have served as a Hearing Officer for the Georgia Department of Agriculture. My work with state and local governments provides me with an extensive understanding of the unique issues that arise with governmental entities.
Since January of 2000, I have been honored with an “AV” Rating from Martindale-Hubbell. In 2013 and 2016, I was named to Georgia Trend Magazine’s list of the State’s Legal Elite in the practice area of Labor & Employment. In 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017, Super Lawyers selected me for their list of Georgia Super Lawyers in the practice area of Employment & Labor. In 2015, Georgia Super Lawyers also recognized me in the Top 100 Georgia attorneys.
Based on my experience, I am confident that I can serve you as an effective mediator and would appreciate you considering me as a mediator for your cases. Please visit my website at www.reddylaw.net for more information about my practice. I have also attached a list of testimonials from other employment attorneys whom you may contact for a reference.
